The minutes of the last meeting were approved.

 Committee Reports

 Promotions

John Burpee reviewed the results of the survey and overall the results were very positive and favorable.  (see Handout)

 Regional

Patti provided a Regional report discussing the plusses and minuses as well as a preliminary financial report which shows $18858 profit for the CBA. (see Handout)

 STaC

As Potter stuffed his envelopes to unit directors, he advised that these letters would go out to 64 directors in the unit.  His directors are lined up for CBC games. After discussion on whether to raise or lower the price, it was agreed that the price would be lowered to $8.00 and that we would publicize this on posters. This will be a one-time promotion as a good will gesture as thanks to the members for the great support of the Regional. All agreed that a July 4 game would not be wise.  Potter will work with the directors on the CBA game nights at the CBC to determine an appropriate amount of money to be paid for the Director-in-Charge and any assistants necessary to accommodate the game.  He will also allocate $30 for snacks for CBA run games during STaC.

 Education

Mike and Bob talked about the Bridge Buddy program.  Bob has transferred the responsibility to Education, since that seems to be the appropriate place in the committee structure. Mike will appoint a chair for this program.  Bob recommended that we use other sources for the program than just relying on those coming from the Lessons of his class and others. He asked John Burpee to consider a promotional plan to get people into the Bridge Buddy program. Mike promised his report on Education at the July meeting.

 Old Business

We will hold the special information meetings for the membership about the new Constitution closer to the election.

Pat Dutson is still looking for an Editor for the new Alert.  His survey indicated that a monthly publication is desired.  There was some discussion about possibly paying someone to do that.

 New Business

Dorthy Gard donated $50 to the Education committee and $500 for new cards.

Bob VeVerka has started directing Monday nights. He will keep homestyle going on a bi-monthly basis and is looking for a creative alternative to the other open game that used to be run on that night.

There will be no June meeting.

The meeting was adjourned about 6:45pm.

 Respectfully submitted,

 Robert F. VeVerka
