Minutes of the Regular Meeting of December 5, 2011
 
 
Board President Stephani called the meeting to order at 6:35 p.m.  Present were:, Cordell Coy, , Patrick Hoffman, Everitt Kitchen, Gayle Keaney, Barb Levinson, Potter Orr, A.J. Stephani, and newly-elected (for 2012) member Ron Manne.  Members Absent:  Mary Clifton, Debbie Cummings, Mike Purcell, and Chris Schwartz.  
 
The November minutes were approved.
 
AJ reported the recent election of board members for terms beginning in 2012.  They are Barb Levinson, Ron Manne, and AJ Stephani.  AJ also acknowledged and thanked the retiring board members, Debbie Cummings, Ev Kitchen and Chris Schwartz for their important service to CBA.
 
Gayle provided financial statements.  She pointed out that Advertising and Promotion expenses have been about $4600 less for 2011 than for 2010 primarily because of savings in not using the Enquirer for promotions.  Also the CBA sectional tournament netted a profit of 1530 against a target of break-even. 
 
Potter reported the purchase of a new B/W laser printer for the director’s room at a cost of $200. 
 
A holiday bonus of $600 was approved for our cleaning service personnel.
 
Jerry Clerkin, an expert player from Indianapolis, has been teaching classes at that club that have reportedly been well received.  The possibility of his providing lessons at the CBC will be considered by the education committee.
